Please press the helpful button, and read the whole review thank you so much! I got this set as a surprise gift, and this was great! It had 200 pieces to build. I (remember I’m 10) took about half an hour to build this. It is great for ages 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10. Any kid younger than 6 might need some assistance. This is so organized (when you finish it of course😂). I love how detailed LEGO sets are. There are so many accessories like popsicles, cones, and 3 ice cream flavors(vanilla, strawberry and, chocolate). It was just like the real thing. For a con I’d say (this doesn’t apply to this set), but all the LEGO sets, the prices have gone too high up. Like $75 for a 100 piece set. Overall this is a great product. I highly recommend you buy it. -Pippa🦞
I am a sucker for my nephew. He is turning five, and I try to get him whatever he imagines exists in this world. He said he wanted an Ice cream truck he can build. Given that information, I brainstormed and thought “Lego!”. It did not take much searching, and I found this. When I gave it to him, his eyes lit up, and he said this was perfect and exactly what he wanted! It took him little time to put this together, and it looks great once assembled!
Our 6 year old loved it as a gift since we had to cancel his planned birthday party with a real ice cream truck coming to the playground for all his friends (yeah Covid-19 grr). The tiny popsicles are a cute touch and he keeps them out in a divided box we created for LEGO “accessories” to use with other sets as needed. It’s neat how it opens up also, I wasn’t expecting that so he can easily access to serve or whatever scene he dreamed up! This week he had a set up where the LEGO ice cream truck stopped by LEGO prison island... not sure how that happened ha!
Love the ice cream truck. Our son loves LEGO and he loves playing with this one.
I bought this on black friday sale for $10--a steal. it was a gift for my 8 year old neighbor and it was just the right mix of challenge and success. It was a very good level of lego for him and i enjoyed watching him put it together. It has two people, skate board and a dog. The detail on the truck is excellent and is fun to play with after it is built. Solid design, nothing flimsy. And it has lots of ice cream to go on the two cones. I think the cone shape has been used before as a light in another kit, so it should not be a huge challenge to replace lost ones. It could easily be changed up to be a food truck or a many other mobile services. The little lego dollar bill was a fun touch. Highly recommend.
I have always wanted to do an HO Scale Model Train town/village but hard for my Dad and I to really put one together so I decided to do a Lego town so now my work in progress Lego town mini figs can enjoy some yummy ice cream.
I am, for reasons I can't explain, absolutely drawn to Lego food trucks and carts, so I had to have this one. It's an inexpensive set, so I didn't expect much, but it was a fun little short build, and the result is pretty good. It even had a few unexpected "action" features, like a working sliding window, and a giant popsicle mascot on the roof than can be tilted down for driving, or tilted upright to attract customers when parked at a fixed location. The biggest distraction for me were the garish colors. Appropriate to the subject, but (and it seems silly to say this about a Lego set) makes it seem "toy-like." Not as nice as the recent Lego City pizza truck, but still a solid B, and highly recommended as a kid or family build
Bought for my grandson who is lego crazy. Great set, great value for the money. Loads of fun and imagination.
