Inspire young minds and adult collectors alike with this LEGO Star Wars Collector Series 75249 Resistance Y-Wing Starfighter Collectible Model. This updated version of the classic fighter-bomber, a.k.a. wishbone, featured in the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie, has a new-for-October-2019 color scheme, opening cockpit with space for an action minifigure inside, firing spring-loaded shooters and dropping bombs that will inspire creative kids to create action-packed scenes with their friends. With Poe Dameron, Zorii Bliss and First Order Snowtrooper Star Wars characters, and D-O and astromech droid LEGO figures, this advanced starship model playset also makes a great Star Wars holiday gift to add to any fan’s collection.
Great minifigures but not my favorite Y-wing build. I love Y-wings and this does the job, but the changed elements aren’t all for the better and the color scheme is a bit drab the stickers are necessary for color flow which is a let down for me and many who refuse to stickers. The teal Astromech Droid is a beautiful addition to Lego’s Droid roster a must buy for me just on that alone.
My son love it. He is 9 smart boy and easy for him to assemble it like an hour or less
The Y-Wing doesn't get enough time in the spotlight, and this Rise of Skywalker edition looks beautiful. Design: It's the same LEGO Y-Wing design we've seen in the past but with a few changes, including the new, beautiful red paint job. The engine builds were a little finnicky at times but, once everything was in place, it looked very good. Build: This was a fun one. Not incredibly complicated but really great to see how it came together. Little ones may need some help from adults with the engine assembly but, other than that, it was a breeze. Playability: This thing is surprisingly sturdy and, therefore, you will have no reservations about "swooshing" it around the living room. The landing gear is retractable and there's even a place to store your key-lime-colored astromech. Two spring-loaded shooters are a nice touch but the real fun happens when you start dropping LEGO bombs on the included First Order Snowtrooper. Display: This looks incredible on the LEGO shelf. It really has a striking presence thanks to the red paint job. Minifigs: We get 5 (sort of) minifigs. First up is our pilot, Zori Bliss, who looks great with her gold helmet. She can team up with Poe Dameron to take on the First Order Snowtrooper with the help of D-0 and a stunningly green astromech droid. Value: The average price-per-piece for this set is $0.12, very modest for a Star Wars set. Between the play features, the very fun build and the included minifigures, there's a lot of fun to be had. If you can find it on sale, even better. Final Thoughts: The Y-Wing is not the most famous Star Wars ship but, with a paint job like this, it very well could be. Good selection of minifigures, play features and very displayable.
It was my 11th birthday and I was so exited, it took me about 40 minutes to build it. Very good price and the price was 55 dollars, 60 is good too. I had so much fun with the three mini-figures, and two droids. The Lego set itself is awesome. I love it and I have space battles every single day and enjoy every minute of it, anyone who loves, Star wars, Legos, and spaceships will love this to add to their collection of Lego sets.
The build was pretty easy overall. Great detail on the engines. I think Lego got that part perfect. I especially like the gun turret on the cockpit. The bomb bay can only hold two the bombs, which is fine. You just should try to not lose the third one. This is one of the most affordable larger Lego Star Wars ship out there. Obviously the A Wing is much cheaper, but a much small build.
My son is a huge LEGO fan and this has been one of his favorite building sets so far. It took home several hours to complete but he was able to complete everything independently. He loves the figurines included and the features of this star fighter have kept him entertained as he has placed with this set. I also thought the number of pieces for the value was pretty reasonable compared to other LEGO sets.
I bought this for my son's "half-birthday". He mainly wanted for the "blue R2D2". The long pieces connecting the jets, or whatever, don't stay on so we finally had to take them off. And he doesn't want to play with it now because it's broken. 🙄
awesome, for my grandson and my husband wants to play with it! lol
